Immingham Forging Forward

We were very pleased to be given the contract to make the public art for Immingham, after a vote by the local community,.

Our design is called 'Immingham Forging Forward' - it represents the bow of a ship, and has panels on all 3 sides, representing the past, present and future of the town. The community helped with ideas for the panels - we had several meetings and workshops in the town, and then a display in the library where we asked people to give us their opinions.
Then we had making workshops where people were invited to come and help make the panels. We used our pressed steel process, so everyone could have a go, and now they can see their bit in the final piece.
Around the sides are planters for flowers, and the whole thing is made from stainless steel. Installation was late January, with an official opening on 6th February 2019.
