Heavy Metal workshop

The heavy workshop is where you get to wack and weld - we have several types of welder, plus a forge, power hacksaw, plasma cutter, bandsaw etc etc - ie it is well equipped for making large pieces, working mainly in steel.

Most of the people who chose to do 'heavies' have never done it before, and most of them are women. People come with an idea of what it is they want to make and we talk about the design either by email before you come or on the day to make sure your idea is feasable in the time.

We have a maximum of 3 people in this workshop - this means you won't get in each other's way, and you won't be waiting for either equipment or Pete.
